Demo Account Expiration
MT5 demo accounts expire if not logged into for 30 days. Expired demo accounts cannot be reinstated; you will need to create a new one in MT5.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1. Does an MT5 demo account expire?
Yes. If 30 days pass since your last login, the demo account expires and you can no longer log in. Expired accounts cannot be restored, so simply open a new demo account inside MT5.
Q2. Should I choose a Standard or Blade demo account?
On the account-type screen, entries ending in "SD" are Standard accounts and those marked "Blade" are Blade accounts. Choose the type you plan to trade with so you can practice in an environment close to the real one.
Q3. I forgot my login details.
Demo-account login details are not sent by email. You need to save the information shown at creation in a note or file. If you lose it, just open a new demo account.
Q4. What is the difference between a demo and a live account?
A demo account uses virtual money, so you can practice without risk. Spreads and execution are close to live trading, but conditions such as liquidity are not perfectly identical.
