Displaying New and Reopening Closed Charts in MT4 (Mac)

This guide explains how to open a new chart in MT4, how to close a chart, and how to reopen a chart that has been closed.

How to Open a New Chart

There are numerous ways to open a new chart in MT4. Here, we will introduce four typical methods.

Select 'New Chart' from the 'File' menu in MT4.

Choose the instrument you want to display from the list that appears.

Click on the new chart icon at the left end of the toolbar and select the instrument you wish to display.

Right-click on the desired instrument in the Market Watch and select 'Chart Window'.

Drag and drop the part of the instrument name from the Market Watch to the empty area of the chart space.

Unwanted charts can be closed by clicking the '×' button in the top right corner of the chart.

Select the chart you want to reopen from 'Reopen' in the 'File' menu of MT4.
