When "Waiting for Update" appears on the chart screen in MT4 and the chart is not displayed, it indicates that there is no data for the symbol specified on the chart.
This error mainly occurs when switching trading accounts, and the specified symbol on the chart is not available in the new account.
To resolve this error, simply reconfigure the symbol on the chart.
Hover the cursor over the symbol name displayed on the Market Watch, then drag and drop the symbol onto the chart.
Once the reconfiguration is complete, the chart will be displayed.
