Changing the Type of Chart in MT4 (Windows)

In MT4 charts, you can display three types of charts: candlestick, bar, and line charts.
Here, we will guide you on how to change the type of these charts.

How to Change the Chart Type

There are multiple ways to change the chart type. Here, we introduce three typical methods.

① Change from Toolbar

You can switch the chart type by selecting (clicking) the icon for the desired chart type from the MT4 toolbar.

② Change from Menu Bar

From the 'Charts' menu, select the chart type you want to display to switch.

③ Change from Chart Properties Screen (1)

Right-click on the chart and select 'Properties' from the menu that appears.

From the top right of the chart properties screen, select the chart type and click the 'OK' button to switch the chart type.
