MT4 includes a crosshair mode that allows you to display the time and price at the cursor's position, as well as measure the number of bars and points.

Clicking on the crosshair icon in the toolbar allows you to switch the cursor to crosshair mode.
You can also switch to crosshair mode using 'Ctrl' and 'F' on the keyboard.
Moving the cursor in crosshair mode on the chart displays the price and time at the cursor position on the scale.
This is very useful when analyzing past price movements to check periods and price levels.
Holding and dragging in crosshair mode on the chart shows the number of bars, the number of points, and the ending price from the start point to the end point.
This feature is invaluable for verifying periods and price ranges.
