What is a Chart Profile?

A chart profile in MT5 allows you to save a combination of frequently viewed charts as a "profile" and switch between them as needed. For example, you can create a profile for USD/JPY and cross-yen pairs, and another for dollar pairs, then switch between these profiles for easy monitoring.

How to Create a Chart Profile

There are two main ways to create a chart profile: 1) from the menu and 2) from the toolbar.

1) Creating a Profile from the Menu

Select "Save As" from the "Profiles" menu under "File".

Enter a name in the "Save Profile" dialog and click "OK".

After saving, adjust the charts to the combination you want (for example, change the symbols).

The saved profile will appear in the "Profiles" menu under "File", or when you click the profiles icon on the toolbar. Select the profile to switch the display.

2) Creating a Profile from the Toolbar

Click the profiles icon on the toolbar and select "Save As" from the menu.

Enter a name in the "Save Profile" dialog and click "OK".
