How to Read & Use This Tool

A general term for trading techniques aimed at profiting from price differences between different markets or symbols. This tool is used to analyze the relationship between symbols.

① Arbitrage

The value calculated as Symbol A's price ÷ Symbol B's price. It expresses the relative strength of two symbols in a single number. Example: if EURUSD ÷ USDJPY rises, EURUSD is becoming relatively stronger than USDJPY.

② Price Ratio

A trading method where, when the ratio of two highly correlated symbols deviates significantly from the long-term average, you sell the stronger side and buy the weaker side—profiting from the "ratio deviation" rather than the individual price movements.

③ Pair Trading

The statistical tendency for prices or ratios to return to their long-term average. When ratios trade within a range, the assumption that extreme values revert to the mean tends to hold true.

What Can This Tool Do?

Symbol A is becoming relatively stronger than Symbol B. A is rising more / falling less than B.

Ratio Rising → Symbol A Dominant

Symbol B is becoming relatively stronger than Symbol A. B is rising more / falling less than A.

Ratio Falling → Symbol B Dominant

Both symbols moving at the same pace. Extreme deviations create mean-reversion pair trading opportunities.

Ratio Flat → Range Market

A sudden ratio change may indicate a major news or economic indicator for one symbol. Identifying the cause is critical.

Reading the Price Ratio Chart

The absolute value of a ratio like EURUSD ÷ USDJPY (e.g., 0.0073) has no special meaning. What matters is "whether it's rising or falling," "how far it has deviated from the long-term average," and "when major changes occurred."

⚠️ Focus on the "Change," Not the Absolute Value

Choose pairs that are economically or statistically correlated. Examples: currencies from the same region (EUR-based, commodity currencies), commodities of the same category (gold and platinum, oil and natural gas), or indices from the same region (Nikkei and TOPIX, S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100). Comparing unrelated symbols won't reveal meaningful patterns.

Select 2 Symbols to Analyze

Check the ratio's movement on both long-term and short-term timeframes. Identify which pattern (A–D) applies and how far the current ratio is from the long-term average.

Check the Current State on the Price Ratio Chart

Check the economic factors behind the ratio's movement (interest rate differentials, policy, supply/demand, geopolitics). Judge whether the move on the chart is "structural" or "temporary."

Confirm Fundamental Factors

Analyze each symbol in detail with MT4/MT5 or other Research Hub tools (Trend Analysis, RSI Analysis, etc.). Set entry / stop loss / take profit.

Detailed Analysis of Individual Symbols

Based on the analysis results, execute regular trades on each symbol.

Employment data, policy announcements, geopolitical events temporarily move ratios significantly. Note that pattern recognition reliability drops around announcements.

The latest trading price of each symbol. Displayed in each row of Market Status and updated in real time. In FX, there are two types of quotes — bid (ASK) and offer (BID) — and the difference between them is called the spread.

① Current Price (Quote)

A categorization of financial instruments. FX (currency pairs), stock indices, commodities (gold, oil, etc.), cryptocurrencies, and more — each is a group of instruments with distinct characteristics.

② Asset Class

The price change from the previous day's close, expressed as a percentage. Positive means rise, negative means decline. Symbols with larger change rates have higher volatility and more short-term trading opportunities.

Entering immediately when you see a "+5%" surge is dangerous. Always check the background (news, indicators, geopolitics) and your understanding of the symbol before deciding.

✘ Don't Jump In Based on Price Moves Alone

Trading based only on change rates can have spread costs eat into profits. Especially for short-term trading, avoid symbols with wide spreads. Build the habit of checking spreads in the list too.

✘ Don't Ignore Spreads

Touching asset classes you don't know just because "they're moving" risks heavy losses from trading without understanding characteristics. Learn first, trade later.

✘ Don't Touch Symbols You Don't Know

When a symbol moves significantly, there's always a cause. Jumping in without understanding the background (economic indicators, policy, geopolitics, company news) risks being caught in late-stage trends.

✘ Don't Trade Without Checking News

A limit or stop order placed in the market as a "reservation" that hasn't filled yet. For example, "buy USDJPY when it hits 150.00" — you can see where buy limits are concentrating across the whole market.

① Pending Order

A position that has already been filled and is still being held. For example, "bought USDJPY at 149.50" — you can see at which price levels traders are holding longs or shorts.

② Open Position

A bar chart of pending orders (limits/stops) by price level. Where the bars are unusually tall — the "walls" — those prices tend to act as support or resistance when the orders execute.

③ Order Distribution

A bar chart of open positions by price level. Prices where many traders sit on unrealized losses are exactly the prices likely to trigger sell-offs ("long squeeze") or short squeezes when stops cascade.

④ Position Distribution

The percentage of buy versus sell orders or positions across the market. For example, "60% buy / 40% sell" means most participants are leaning long. Around 50:50 the market lacks direction; at extremes like 80:20 a move against the crowd can trigger sharp swings.

⑤ Buy/Sell Ratio

5 Key Terms to Know First

Price levels where orders and positions concentrate tend to act as "walls" that flip the market. Find the demand/supply clusters that aren't visible on a standard chart.

Visualize Support / Resistance

The buy/sell ratio instantly shows which side the crowd has joined. The majority often gets squeezed in the opposite direction — useful as a contrarian signal.

Read Market Sentiment

Use the historical-data slider to view orders and positions at past moments. Compare before/after key indicator releases or events to see where orders moved and which side grew.

Track Supply/Demand Through Time

Don't judge from one chart alone. Use Order Distribution for "walls," Position Distribution for "sell-off / squeeze lines," and the ratios for the "overall lean." Stacking these viewpoints gives you a three-dimensional sense of supply & demand.

How to Read the 4 Charts

The time slider at the top of the screen lets you view the order/position distribution at past moments. For example, comparing "just before vs. just after a major economic release" reveals where orders moved and which side grew, helping you learn how participants behave around such events.

⏰ About the historical display

Choosing the Display Mode

Pick the symbol you want to analyze (USDJPY, EURUSD, XAUUSD, etc.). Start with "Order Distribution" and "Position Distribution" in "Buy & Sell" mode to roughly identify where the walls are.

Select a symbol and inspect the current distribution

Toggle to "Net" mode to see the direction and strength of buy/sell dominance. It becomes easier to spot per-price boundaries like "above here is sell-dominated, below is buy-dominated."

Switch to "Net" mode for the intuitive lean

Use the Order and Position Buy/Sell ratio charts to confirm the overall market lean. When you see extremes like 80% buy / 20% sell, be ready for sharper moves if price moves against the crowd.

Check the overall lean with the ratio charts

Use historical playback to see how distributions changed before/after key releases or session changes. Learning these patterns becomes ammunition for predicting similar future setups.

Observe how supply/demand changed using historical data

Combine with support/resistance, Trend Analysis, RSI Analysis, etc. This tool offers a supply/demand perspective — entry, stop-loss and take-profit decisions should be made together with other indicators.

Combine with other tools to decide

Prices where Order Distribution bars are unusually tall are strong candidates for support/resistance. Marking those lines on your chart provides clear reference points for entries and stops.

✔ Note the price of the big "walls"

Replay before/after major releases or central-bank events and watch where the orders moved. You'll start to recognize behavior patterns of market participants that repeat under similar conditions.

✔ Use historical data to learn "the moment things moved"

When buys or sells exceed 80%, stops are easy to trigger. A contrarian angle, mindful of where the crowd's stops sit, may be worth considering.

✔ Pay attention to "extreme lopsidedness" in ratios

Supply/demand distribution is powerful but doesn't tell you "when" it will move. Combine with support/resistance, moving averages, RSI etc. so you have entry timing from both supply/demand and price-action perspectives.

✔ Combine with other technical indicators

Order "walls" are psychological reference points but can be punched through in big moves or events. Treat them as candidates for support/resistance, not as auto-fade triggers.

✘ Don't treat walls as absolute

"Many buyers = price goes up" is too simplistic. The crowd often gets squeezed in the opposite direction. The ratio measures lean, not direction.

✘ Don't pick direction from ratio alone

The orders and positions shown here are samples based on Titan FX data. They don't represent 100% of the global market's supply/demand — treat as a directional indication, not as ground truth.

✘ Don't over-trust the data

Even with a clear read on distribution, markets can move unexpectedly. Always set stop-losses and keep per-trade risk to roughly 1–2% of your account.

✘ Don't neglect risk management

A technical indicator that expresses the balance between upward and downward price pressure on a scale of 0–100. The higher the RSI, the stronger the buying momentum; the lower, the stronger the selling momentum.

① RSI (Relative Strength Index)

When RSI rises above 70, the market is considered "overbought" (overheated); when it drops below 30, "oversold" (undervalued). These extremes signal that price has moved too far in one direction—and that a reversal becomes more likely.

② Overbought & Oversold

Calculating from the most recent 14 candles is the industry standard. For each timeframe, RSI is calculated based on roughly the last 70 minutes (5m) / about 3.5 hours (15m) / about 7 hours (30m) / about 14 hours (1h).

③ 14-Period (Standard Setting)

A popular strategy with RSI that targets the "snapback" from overheated markets—selling when overbought and buying when oversold. This tool is designed to support this counter-trend approach.

④ Counter-Trend (Mean Reversion)

Each symbol's RSI value is shown by color. Dark Blue = Overbought / Dark Red = Oversold—understand market overheating intuitively.

Reading the Colors — 9-Stage Signal

In strong trends, RSI can stay above 70 (or below 30) for extended periods while price keeps moving. Don't predict reversals from color alone—always confirm with candlestick reversal patterns or other indicators.

⚠️ "Overheated" Doesn't Mean "Sell Now"

Use long timeframes to grasp the overall picture, and short timeframes to catch the start of reversals. When the 1h and 30m RSIs are in the same zone, signal reliability dramatically increases.
