MT4 versions are categorized by "Version" and managed with "Build" numbers.
Select "About" from the "Help" menu in MT4.
The version and build number are displayed in the lower-left part of the "About" dialog.
In the example, the Version is 4.00, build is 1384, and the update date is July 8, 2023.
