How to Use Chart Profiles on MT5

What is a Chart Profile?

In MT5, a chart profile allows you to save a combination of frequently viewed charts as a "profile" and switch between different displays. For example, you can create one profile for USD/JPY and cross yen pairs, and another for dollar-based pairs, allowing you to switch between them as needed.

How to Create a Chart Profile

There are two main ways to create a chart profile: 1) through the menu and 2) via the toolbar.

1) Creating a Profile from the Menu

Select "Save Profile As..." from the "Chart Profiles" menu under "File".

Enter a name in the "Save Profile" dialog and click "OK".

Once saved, adjust the charts to the desired combination (e.g., change the symbols).

The saved profile will appear in the "Chart Profiles" menu under "File" or by clicking the profile settings icon on the toolbar. You can select the profile and switch the display.

2) Creating a Profile from the Toolbar

Click the "Profile Settings" icon on the toolbar and select "Save Profile As..." from the menu.

Enter a name in the "Save Profile" dialog and click "OK".

Once saved, adjust the charts to the desired combination (e.g., change the symbols).

The saved profile will appear in the "Chart Profiles" menu under "File" or by clicking the "Profile Settings" icon on the toolbar. You can select the profile and switch the display.
